(1) Basic Liability

As a licensed carrier in the state of Colorado our maximum legal liability is limited by state law to .60 cents per pound per item. This law protects moving companies from excessive claims. This limit of liability is not insurance, and is available to all customers free of charge.

(2) Transit Damage Protection Option (add to page 2)

Moving U LLC’s Transit Damage Protection Option (TDP) protects our customers up to $500.00 total, in repair, or replacement on a move. There is a $50.00 charge for this protection.

Although Moving U LLC guarantees that the utmost care be taken on your move, there is always the possibility that some damage may occur. This option is for those customers wanting some additional coverage without having to purchase Full Replacement Value Insurance

(3) Full Value Replacement (Blanket Coverage)

Full Replacement Valuation covers repairs of replacement value of property. The value of property will be the least of the following amounts:

1. The actual cash value of that property
2. The cost of reasonably restoring that property to its condition immediately before “loss”; or
3. The cost of replacing that property with substantially identical property. In the event of “loss” the value of the property will be determined as of the time of “loss”.

Coverage is available for shipments valued at $5,000.00 through $75,000.00 and above. Please refer to the valuation chart for coverage and premiums.

Exclusions to the above options:

1. Lamps, lamp shades, artwork, pictures, mirrors, artificial plants and statues which are not boxed by Moving U.
2. Any marble or glass which is not wrapped, crated or boxed by Moving U.
3. Items found broken in boxes that have not been packed by Moving U.
4. Mechanical or electrical condition of audio/visual, TVs, computers, W/D, refrigerators, printers and battery operated items in transit or storage.
5. Missing hardware for disassembled items, unless Moving U disassembles them.
6. Pressboard or particle board furniture.
7. Previously damaged or repaired items.
8. Previously damaged or loose veneer.
9. Furniture where original glue has dried out.
10. Any small, loose items such as keys, remote controls, etc. which are not in a box.
11. Plants.

TERMS AND CONDITIONS:

1. Our start time begins when we arrive at your address and ends when we finish when you are done with our movers (unload the last box/last piece of furniture, reassemble the last piece of furniture, place the last piece of furniture, etc.).
2. We do require a two hour minimum. After the first three hours, we bill in quarter-hour increments.
3. See attached for your hourly rate and one-time truck fee surcharge. Our rate includes fuel, taxes, moving blankets, plastic wrap, tools, dollies, and any other moving equipment necessary for the move. Any additional boxes or packing materials (including mattress covers and wardrobe boxes) will need to be requested in advance and may add additional cost.
4. We are not responsible for items once out of the possession of Moving U, LLC (i.e., interstate moves, loading trucks that we do not deliver, items moved to storage, etc.).
5. To my knowledge, all items packed, moved, shipped on this day by Moving U, LLC have been received in acceptable condition. Any exceptions should be noted on this form and a Moving U, LLC mover MUST BE notified. It is the responsibility of the customer to note all damages to property and furniture before movers leave the premises. There shall be no future liability for damages unless noted.
